FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you harvest and bottle your honey?

All of our honey is harvested by hand using traditional methods. Frames are carefully removed from the hive and spun to extract the honey, which is then lightly filtered to remove wax before being bottled.

We do not heat, blend, or process our honey — it’s as close to the hive as possible.

Do you feed your bees sugar or supplements?

No. During honey production, we do not feed sugar water or artificial supplements.

We ensure our bees always retain enough of their own honey, particularly to sustain them through the cooler months.

Do you use chemicals or antibiotics?

We do not use antibiotics in our hives.

Our colonies are regularly inspected and managed using responsible beekeeping practices, focused on prevention, hive health, and sustainability.

Why does your honey taste different each time?

Because it’s real, seasonal honey.

The flavour, colour, and texture vary depending on which flowers are in bloom. Each batch reflects the unique conditions of the season and the surrounding environment.

Why has my honey crystallised?

Crystallisation is completely natural and a sign of raw, unprocessed honey.

To return it to liquid, place the jar in warm (not hot) water and allow it to gently soften. Avoid microwaving, as this can damage the honey’s natural properties.

Where are your hives located?

Our hives are based in South-West Sydney, around the Georges River region.

Our bees forage across a mix of suburban gardens, local parks, and natural reserves — contributing to the unique character of our honey.
